How does Captain Handy backyard interlocking
Although the technology used in paving in Ontario at first glance may seem simple, its proper implementation requires high skills. First, our experts conduct the necessary calculations to determine the height of the paving. Even a minor error of a few centimeters can lead to puddles, stagnant water and damage to the pavement. That’s why we use state-of-the-art measuring equipment and technology.
Then routes for the drainage of melt water and rainwater are defined. It can be discharged into special gutters, downspouts or on the lawn. It is necessary to calculate the operation of the automatic irrigation system.
Only after a thorough check, begin excavation work. If the site will be laid pipes for the irrigation system, in the places of the proposed paths more soil is removed, usually to a depth of 35-40 cm. The excavated soil is usually used in landscaping. Otherwise, we remove it in our own transport.
Then the soil is compacted using special equipment and devices. Most often a vibratory plate is used, creating an even and smooth surface. Then a layer of sand with a height of 5-7 cm is poured, and the process of tamping is repeated. On top of the sand is poured gravel, a fraction of 20-40, and again the surface is leveled.
To evenly distribute the weight of paving slabs or other coverings, apply a high-quality geotextile. The density of this fabric is not less than 150 g/m2. Thanks to this technology, the surface loads are distributed evenly, pits, depressions and ruts are not formed.
And only after that begins the paving itself – the laying of tiles, paving stones or other coverings. Professionals carefully control not only the flatness of the surface, but also the complete coincidence of the decorative pattern. The perimeter of interlocking rests on the foundation or curb.
At the final stage of interlocking the surface is once again rammed and carefully removed from sand, dust and foreign objects. Specialists carry out quality control of the work performed and pass the object to the customer.
